Our other car is 2008 Kia Carens LX. It is diesel fed, automatic transmission, and colored cherry black. We bought it last November as a present to our wedding anniversary. It can carry up to seven occupants (driver included) comfortably. The second and third seats can be converveted to cargo compartment. If all the seats are used, there’s a little space for cargo. Hence, I’m planning of installing a cargo roof rack.
Here are some pictures of our Kia Carens, which were taken at the Total Station along NLEX on our way to Subic Bay Freeport Zone:
Congratulations on your new ride. My FC is 8 to 9 km/li. city driving and 12 - 14.5 km/li highway. I think it would still improve.
Posted by autom at May 18, 2008, 11:15 amI bought a Kia Carens last March. At first I felt the diesel consumption was like my old car (Altis 1.8G) but after a month or two, I noticed the consumption has become more “efficient”. I do the same route everyday and when I first bought the car I’d fill up my tank every 5-6 days, but now my full tank lasts around 7-9 days. I’m really happy with this car and it wows all of my friends when they see how roomy it is inside.

I just got one LX A/t this May 10, 2008.
Posted by allan at May 15, 2008, 9:09 pmThe power and ride is good, although I think the mileage is only 10 km per liter, not 12km per liter as the sales agent claimed.
