I’m going to Dagupan City tomorrow morning for a day trip. And, I’m driving my Kia Carens.
Dagupan City is an independent component city of the province of Pangasinan, on the western part of the Philippine island of Luzon. Some thought that it’s the provincial capital; but, it’s the Municipality of Lingayen. Dagupan City is known as the bangus (milkfish) capital of the country. Actually, our purpose of going there is to look for bangus suppliers or wholesalers.
From Metro Manila, there are three ways going to Dagupan. The first, which is the main / bus route, is via Urdaneta City. The other ways are via Camiling, Tarlac - Bugallon and Camiling, Tarlac - Bayambang - Malasiqui. I’m taking the latter as this is the shorter, less traveled, and newly paved route.
The distance between Metro Manila and Dagupan City is about 200 kilometers or about two-hour travel by land.
Here’s the roadmap to Dagupan City.

I wasn’t able to go to Dagupan as I rushed my wife to the hospital. She’s okay now and was discharged from the hospital this morning. Thanks.
My plan was to take the SCTEX and exit at San Miguel (the exit to Hacienda Luisita), then take the road to Camiling, Tarlac. From Camiling, I’d take the road to Bayambang - Malasiqui - Calasiao.

Did you take the SCTex and exit after Tarlac City just before Gerona? After which you went back into Tarlac City to go to the diversion road heading to Camiling?
Or is it faster to go straight to Paniqui and then take the road going to Camiling, then northbound to Bayambang?
I took the Lingayen-Camiling route a few years back to avoid traffic at Urdaneta although it takes more time, aside from an additional 40km or so.
BTW, hope your wifey is doing well.
