On my way home, I heard in the news that UniOil has reduced its diesel and kerosene prices by P2 per liter effective 2:00 PM today. Eastern Petroleum will also slash its diesel price by P1 per liter effective 12:01 AM tomorrow.
I passed by Regalado Avenue in Novaliches and checked the UniOil priceboard. Its price of diesel is now P24.95, which was used to be P25.60. Hence, the reduction is 65 centavos only and not P2.00. Nonetheless, UniOil price’s now lower by 25 centavos from the Big 3 prices.
Would the Big 3 follow suit and match or even beat UniOil’s price?
