I live in Zabarte Road in Novaliches, Quezon City and I work at the corner of Makati Avenue and Sen. G. Puyat Avenue in Makati City. I normally pass by Commonwealth Avenue and Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (EDSA) in going to the office and vice versa. The distance is 30 kilometers. Or, I travel about 60 kilometers in going to and from work.
There’s another way. It’s via Quirino Highway, Mindanao Avenue and EDSA. Since the time we transferred to Novaliches more than 20 years, I seldom and dreaded pass along this highway because the road and traffic were very bad. The highway has been repaired two or three years ago. But, I thought the traffic hadn’t improved.
About three months ago, I passed along Quirino Highway and noticed that the traffic has improved a lot. And, it is shorter by 3.8 kilometers. Since then, I always pass along this highway and convinced that this is the shorter and faster way to my work or to North Avenue and beyond.
